Hi guys i have a chrysler 300m 2004 3 5.
Camshaft crankshaft position sensors b2 out of sequence.
Fault code 17748 p1340 camshaft crankshaft position sensor b2 out of sequence.
The cam tells the computer the position of the camshaft and works in sync with the crankshaft sensor so the computer knows when to fire an injector depending on model and to fire spark.
This could also occur from faulty spark plug timing but if the spark plug checks out then the crankshaft sensor is likely the source.
The camshaft and crankshaft position sensors are vital for proper engine operation.
The white smoke is more related to coolant or oil leaks bluish smoke into the combustion chamber.
A failing sensor will often not allow an engine to start or it will run terribly.
17748 camshaft position sensor g40 engine speed sensor g28.
I brought it to a dealer who told me that the camshaft crankshaft and oxygen sensors need to be changed.
Currently we have no further information about the p1340 volkswagen obdii code.
Camshaft and crankshaft were changed with the dealer.
Correlation p1340 35 00.
I have done a replacement of the timing belt at 100 000 mark with a chrysler dealer.
Start date 20 nov 2011.
Anyway i just need to know the position of sensors g28 g40.
The ring has one of its teeth missing so it provides the engine s computer a reference point for the crankshaft position.
Oxygen sensor was changed with independent with generic.

Rough idle and or vibrating engine.
It has been misfiring for a while since.
Ckp cmp sensor signals out of sequence is the generic description for the p1340 volkswagen code but the manufacturer may have a different description for your model and year vehicle.

The sensor is typically mounted on the main crank pully the fly wheel or the crank itself and so the teeth on the reluctor ring of the crankshaft passes close to the tip of the sensor.
Ronny did you get timing belt checked it could be a tooth out and the two sensors crank and cam would throw up this code.
Replacement of these sensors costs a few hundred dollars at the dealership but armed with some diy knowledge you can save a lot of money.
Another sign of a.
