Carrier apu heater not working.
I have been doubting my batteries reliability lately truck is 2 1 2 years old now.
Hvac stops working how to trouble shoot it.
I have a carrier comfort pro apu and in the top right hand corner of the driver s control panel is a lightning bolt with off i have no ac no heat and no electric but the generator charges.
I have a carrier pc6000.
Upon start up there is no exhaust smoke it heats up gets very hot like normal.
Even with the thermostat closed it should circulate coolant somehow.
Control panel lights are on and will not turn off.
Thermostat location selection believe it or not the location of your thermostat can make a big difference when it comes to its effectiveness.
If cold and plugged in and cranks real slow block heater not working.
Set thermostat to 90 until cab is quite warm then turn it do read more.
Next time at home i ll check block heater.
Here s the problem apu turns on no problem a few minutes if it running alone i start the heater n not more then 20min if it running the apu seems to wanna die so the heater turns off automatically and when the engine settles up the heater turns on again.
The heat mode will not function if the temperature is higher than 85 f.
